50cl Bottle at WWT III. Bought at Lost Property. Deep dark brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of toffee, coffee, hard roasted malts, light fruity, smells nice. Flavour is a bit thin, coffee, toffee, light bitter roasted finish with a hint of metal. Light-bodied, a bit fizzy.

Bottle at WWT3. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin broken tan head and an oily consistency. The aroma is big barnyard with some cheese and roasted malt too. Very unusual. The flavour is medium to weak bitter, a little cheesy and with some liqourice in the weak palate. Rather different and nice to taste, but would not become a long term favourite.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep ruby amber coloured, presumably hazy, small to medium-sized loose off-white head; sourish-fruity nose with roasty aromas and a shy hoppy background; solid sweet-bitter flavour, quite full bodied, smooth; robust and rich lingering fruity and roasty finish with an illusion of bitter chocolate in the aftertaste. Very fine, more of this.....

(swing top bottle) Opaque coloured hue with a big and beige slowly lacing foamy head. Moderately roasted malty and earthy aroma with slightly dried fruity notes and a tinge of leather, accompanied by a touch of dark chocolate and traces of alcohol when it warms. Sweet and slightly roasty bitter flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Roast-malty and subtle fruity taste with a whiff of smoke and leather, also traces of chocolate in the background; sweet, mildly bitter-roasty and lasting finish, again with subtle fruity flavours. Wow, and this one comes from Oberbayern ?! 11.X.10

Red-orange shot deep brown beer with a huge, pale beige head. Sweet, nutty, ever so slightly roasted nose, with mild toffee. Sweet-roasted flavours with some dry-fruity notes, as stored plums. Medium bodied, quite slick; aftertaste is sweeter. Very drinkable porter, which is a rare beast.
