A high fermentation beer, Jenlain Ambrée is one of the first specialty beers in France and is been brewed since 1922. It owes its success to its inimitable taste stronger than all fashions. Its copper color, its aromas of cooked fruit and caramel make it a beer widely recognized for tasting but also a perfect ally for cooking.

0.25 l bottle from ’Saveur Bière’, bottled in December 2014. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly spicy, musty aroma of caramel, brown sugar, sweat, nuts and hints of orange jam. Sweetish-malty, spicy taste of caramel, brown sugar, nuts, cloves and orange jam, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Somewhat unround, has a cheap touch, drinkable nevertheless.

0.25l bottle. Courtesy of Cristobal37. Clear amber body, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, bread, orange zest and floral hops. Taste of caramel, orange zest, a tiny bit of roasted malts and some floral hops. I could drink this all day. Not super complex, but very smooth.

Poured out a clear, orange/amber color with a small, soapy, off-white colored head of foam. It smelled slightly funky with a sweet caramel aroma. Fruity with just enough spicy yeast notes, it had a nice sweet caramel maltiness. This is a nice Belgian style ale. It has a nice balance of spice and sweet.
