Bottle. A clear, slighlty pale golden beer settling with a fine, white two-finger head. Head diminishes rather quickly though. A faint butterscotchy note blends with pale malts and fruity, grassy hops in the aroma. Soft, quite dry, medium body with grains, grass and hay. Some buttery notes too, and a little bitterness. Quite sweet, buttery finish where the carbonation and bitterness can’t combat the sweetness. Definately not a world class beer, but sure drinkable. Don’t think I would cope with it as an all-nighter though. 091008

Pours a light golden colour with quite a lot of white head. The aroma is grassy and hoppy as is the norm for the style, but it’s perhaps slightly less pronounced in this beer. A nice mellow flavour of hops and citrus fruits. There a malty sweetness on the finish. Quite pleasant.

On tap at Sankeys, Tunbridge Wells. Gold with thin white head. Quite a nice lemon citric hop aroma. Lager feel in mouth. Not overly carbonated but still a bit metallic. Biting hop finish. Really good lager.

(bottle) Pale golden colour with a small foamy white head. Malty aroma with cake dough. Bittersweet flavour, medium body. Malty taste with a fair hop balance that becomes a bit sharp in the finish. Anyway a typical Dortmunder, hoppier than the classical Helles from the south of Germany.

Bottle. Bready hop aroma. Golden colour, OK white head. Malty flavour, some hoppiness, not that bitter. Good mouthfeel, not thin at all.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pilsener golden with a very small head. Distinct malty character both in aroma and flavour and only a weak touch of hops. Somewhat sulphurous. 060905
