Als "Freilandmuseum Dunkel" vom Faß im urigen Brauhaus Döbler, Bad Windsheim, 4.10.2025. - Erinnert mich sehr an das vor Jahren im Freilandmuseum getrunkene Dunkel vom Döbler, das hier als "Museums Löschauer Dunkel" geführt wird, und ist wohl mehr oder weniger das gleiche Bier: der Döbler braut zwar drei helle Biere - das "Altstadt-Hell", das "Reichsstadtbier, naturtrüb" (5 %) und das "Freilandmuseum Zwickl" (5,2 %) - aber nur ein einziges dunkles, das "Freilandmuseum Dunkel", das er als "Spezialbier" bewirbt und das laut Brauhaus-Speisekarte 5,4 %, laut Flaschenetikett 5,1 % hat. In der hier verkosteten Version vom Faß ist es solide dunkelmalzig aber eher röstig-schlank als breit Münchner-malzig, zart rauchig und für mein Gefühl zu mild gehopft.

500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty, slightly caramel malty, minimally nutty and minimally leafy and fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of coffee, dark caramel, milk chocolate. Taste is slightly dry, roasty, chocolately and minimally nutty, dark malty with little residual sweetness, hints of cocoa, diluted hints of milk chocolate, malt lozenge, dark caramel, leafy hoppy overtones with a touch of tobacco and tea leaves. Creamy-watery texture, smooth, super-soft palate, fine, soft carbonation. Quite manifold, sadly a tad watery - very nice.

Dunkler, leicht rauchiger Beginn. Trocken röstig, milde Herbe, zum Mittelteil süßlich, was die leichte Rauchnote unterstützt. Feine Karbonisierung, trocken malziger Abgang. Gelungen. 10/9/11/11/7/11

Clear dark ruby with light brown lacing foam head. Aroma of roasted caramel, some roast notes and figs.

Picked this up in a gift shop in Rothenburg. Pours the color of a cola, with foamy head. Aroma is faint, but taste come on full...nuts, roast grains, coffee. Just the right amount of bitterness. Not bad...
