An oatmeal stout brewed as a part of the Black is Beautiful initiative, to raise awareness for the injustices that people of color face daily + raise funds for police brutality reform.
Our interpretation is an hoppy oatmeal stout with notes of semi sweet chocolate, and dark roasted coffee and cookie dough. An exuberant amounts of hops lends a bright citrus finish.

Earthy chocolate malt and grass aroma. Black with large brown head. Mildly sweet oatmeal chocolate malt and moderately bitter grass/dry hay flavor. Good body. Nice.

12oz bottle. Translucent edged brown-black body. Big, beige head. Rather nice beer. Closer to a Black IPA than a classical Oatmeal Stout, it still has those doughy, big malt tones without the oily minty tone of a Black IPA. The hops actually balance it out quite well. Rather great beer, classic FFF. Full bodied but never overbearing or alcohol forward. Excellent stuff.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Appleton, 10/28/20. Black, large frothy brown head, good retention. Aroma of roast, cherry, oats. Taste is roast, plum, dark chocolate, hint of smoke. Medium-full bodied, nice bitterness, well balanced. Nice beer.

Bottle shared by Brian, thanks! Pours near black with an earthy brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy roast and earthy dark grains with a hint of bitter chocolate. Flavor has as earthy roast and light chocolate with some dark grains backing.
