Bottle 50 CL. Apperance; dark red, clear with a light brown aminimal head that goes away at once. Aroma; Some dried fruits, roasted malt and choccolate. Flavor; light sweetness and choccolate. Not bad, not bad at all..... Bought this at Ølutsalget Tromsdalen where they told me that they store the Nøgne Ø beers for a few years after the best before date is over, so the aroma gets better. So I emailed Nøgne Ø to get that confirmed, and they said that their beers last longer than the best before dates. Best b: 20.03.2007, tested 13.03.2009, so I should have waited one week.......

Very dark brown beer with medium creamy and beige head. Aroma is very roasted, slightly sour, coffee and liquirice. Flavour is similar than aroma: lot of roasted malts, coffee, some sweet chocolate and bitterness. Nicely, smooth and velvet like palate. Pleasant, very roasted coffee-lovers beer with enought of interesting nuancees.

Cloudy mahogany with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with hops, roasted malt and caramel. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Hops kicked at the finish that gave it a bitter finish.

A nice brown ale with a thick moka head. Caramel and chocolate in aroma. In mouth, a good coffee, chocolate and burned toasts, nice and roasted, with light acidic points. For a style I find boring, this is quite interesting. Bieropholie imports.

Bottle. Pours dark ruby red with a medium sized head. Decent retention. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and green apple. Taste starts off nicely with chocolate notes but quickly devolves into a thin and slightly chemically taste. Disappointing.
