Almost each year we bring out a new vintage. This year we took a different approach on making Druif. We started with a blend of older beers (approximately 2 years in the barrel) refermented with Kékfrankos grapes, and aged in our oldest foudre for quite some time. Before bottling we blended this base with spontaneously fermented wine from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes we made in 2018 and aged in smaller burgundy barrels.

As 2021 vintage. Taster at MBCC 22. Pinkish/red with white head. Fruity, vindus, oak, Smooth.

Pours unclear, dark purplered to amber. Small white head. Scent is full, grape dryness, tannines. Mild herbal notes from the red grapes. Taste is full, tart, funky, mild oak, fruity. Very balanced - but as always with TS, I don't understand the amazing words people use for the beer. It's 'just' very good to me.

Bottle. Hazy deep red color with white head. Aroma is grape skin, lemony. Taste is lemony, tannic. Oily mouthfeel, acidic finish, natural carbonation. A bit too acidic.

Flaska från Tommie Sjef. Mörk rödlila, snällt disig, liten vit krona. Fyllig, mörka druvor, mycket druvstjälkar och druvskal, stramt och strävt, torkar ut bra på tungan. Mer stram och dova smaker och aromer, något lägre syra. Mycket tanniner, fat, viss laktoton. Druvorna både spelar i förgrunden och ger samtidigt en bra grund och bas och är väl integrerad i ölen. Om möjligt något större och fylligare än senaste årgångar Druif.

Smooth, subtle, grapes, grape peel, wood, tannine, has some ‘cassis’ flavors in it, low acidity, nice one, gonna enjoy this on my own.

Bottle. TS online shop. Mostly clear pale ruby red. Slim ring of off white head. Nose has raspberry jelly. Cherry skin and stone. Yoghurt. Clean brett. Fresh leather. Sweet oak. Taste is sweet and fruity, with a light, funky tartness. Smooth mouthfeel. Modicum of acidity. Pretty quenching. Fine carbonation. Tart and juicy on the finish. Super easy drinking.
