Bottled (thanks Timo A!). Amber colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is mild floral notes, grass, some bready malts and mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is fruits, wood, nice maltyness. Very pleasantly balanced.

Bügelverschlußflasche (Herzlichen Dank, Stefan!): Almost clear, golden to deep golden, quite stable white foamy layer; wood and vanilla in the sweet-grainy nose, moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, soft and medium bodied; slightly lingering woody-hoppy and malty finish. Just a good GDR-Bock.....

(swing top bottle, 33cl, with thanks to Quack-Duck) Slightly hazy, pale golden colour with a blond and short foamy white head. Sweet buttery and slightly bready malty aroma with biscuits and a subtle fruity touch. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Bready malt-character with notes of biscuits, honey, accompanied by herbal and woody hops in the background; sweet malt-accented finish with herbal and woody hops rounding things up. Quite pleasant and matured GDR Bock. 14.II.11

bottle from biershop-braugasthoefe.de. Hazy golden colour, mid-sized white head. Sweetish malty base, shy hop flavours with a herbal character.
