Biscotti & Coffee is a bold and decadent imperial stout brewed with a bevy of dark malts along with lactose and dark brown sugar. Inspired by the eternal any-time-of-day Italian pick-me-up pairing and informed by our experiences working on one of our favorites from the Permutation Series, Number 52, Biscotti & Coffee was conditioned on our Trillium Cold Brew Coffee, toasted almonds, and Madagascar vanilla beans.
Out of the bottle, the beer pours a deep dark brown color with a mocha khaki head, immediately offering intriguing and inviting aromas of earthy dark chocolate bars, toasted mixed nuts, and freshly pulled espresso. Taking a sip, the palate is limitless with layers of fudge brownies, chewy vanilla torrone, doughy marzipan, and luxurious almond paste. A wash of smooth, roasty cà phê đá (Vietnamese iced coffee) balances the sweeter tones of the palate with a slight and rounded bitterness. Viscous and full bodied with a luscious, creamy mouthfeel, Biscotti & Coffee makes for a rousing toast to cap off any evening spent in good company.

ABV: 13.8%

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head. Aroma of roasted malt with light coffee notes is enjoyable. Taste is also a mix of floral coffee notes with some residual sugar notes with some lactose easily identifiable. Body is pretty full with oily like texture. Enjoyable coffee stout with enough sugar notes to offset some of the bitterness.

Pours mahogany black with no head. Aroma is coffee, sweet cream and vanilla. Silky smooth mouthfeel with an incredibly sweet honey, sugar and vanilla. The finish is all chocolate and coffee in. Damn is this sweet.

Pours mahogany tinged black into a snifter. No head. Coffee, sweet cream and vanilla aromas. Soft and incredibly sweet with honey, sugar and vanilla upfront turning to chocolate and hot coffee in the lasting finish. Raises the blood pressure, and I think it's the sugar rather tahn the caffeine.
