Live long and drink Cosmic Ristretto. This highly revered brew will go down in history as one of the first graduates of our Genius Lab program into our front line. Marvel at its rich black appearance with bruleed edges and mocha-colored beer foam. Breathe in its coffee aroma and sweet malts, and savor its smooth, espresso, chocolate flavor. Don’t fight its gravitational pull. This bold, complex, java-centric Baltic Porter with Espresso is irresistible. Houston, we have a problem, my glass is empty.

Bottle at home. Aroma is roasted malt, lots of espresso, coffee, mocha, caramel, creamy chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate roasty bitterness in the finish. Body is above medium and a bit creamy. Excellent Porter with a big roasty coffee aroma.

Bottled. Black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head, that leaves nice lace. Aroma is coffee, some tobacco, smoke as well as some alcohol, toffee and mild leathery/spicy notes. Flavour is leathery, some roasted malts, coffee, some tobacco and mild toffeeish notes. Also a wee bit alcohol pushing through, but suiting into the otherwise quite ashy/roasted thing.

Bottle split at Matteo's farewell bash, CBC Islington, thanks to the Wingmane 20/02/17. Rich dark mahogany brown with a well presented beige covering. Nose is biscuit, charr, chocolate, roast, spice. Taste comprises coffee grinds, molasses, charr, roast malt, dark chocolate, black peppery spice, light smoke. Medium bodied plus, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough offering.

This is one of the very few beers that has a strong molasses character that I like. The coffee is kind of muted, but the overall Flavor’s outstanding.
