33 cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg. BBE 11/2015
A total gusher. Aroma has hayish malt, some roasted malty tones and nuts. Also hints of toffee. Flavour has ashy tones, vichy, toffee, nuts and hints of butter. Quite typical Dutch "bock."

33cl Bottle from Melgers. NO (!!) gusher. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of raisins, dark fruits, chocolate (Nutella), hops, roasted malts. Flavour follows, medium sweet, fruits and chocolate, roasted malts, liquorice, bitter finish. Medium bodied at best. Tasty Dutch bock, and finally a KD beer without excessive carbonation.

Bottled@AIH40 (from biernavigator). Deep brown colour with a beigeish brown big head. Very lively when opening. Aroma is mild toasted notes, some wood, mild resin as well as some alcohol and strange sweetness. Flavour is somewhat spicy, along with the same elements as found in the aroma. Slight infection probably as it’s got some tartness and the gushing effect.

Bottle 30cl (AIH40)
Dark brown color, medium-sized brownish head. Aroma is dry yeasty, some spicey notes, licorice and bread. Medium to full-bodied. Front is nice licorice, then some vegetables. Roasted aftertaste. Finish a bit watery. Typically this Dutch doppelbock feels like an ale.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a murky medium brown with a frothy off white head and lively carbonation that gushed all over my kitchen floor! The aroma is roasted malt, resin and cheesy yeast. The flavour is medium bitter with a medium bodied, lively, thin, nutty malt, slightly watery palate. Far too lively. Not a great IMO.

33cl bottle @ home. Hazy red-brown color, small beige head that diminishes quickly. Smell and taste malts, sweetness and some dark and red fruits. Soft carbonation, medium body. Not bad.
