This is a unique beer, brewed specially for the festive season. A classic, rich, tawny, Scottish ale; full-bodied and mellow with a delightful hop character.

Cask @ Henglers Circus. Slightly hazy golden colour, creamy white head. Aroma is fruity, hoppy and citric. Flavour is light malted, fruity and soft hops. Fairly bitter and slightly dry finish. Well drinkable.

Cask gravity at Halfway House, Brenchley. Copper colour, disappearing head. Just a bit dull on the aroma. Biscuity malt, some toffee, some sharp hop that is a bit sherberty. Not as intense as I would expect a Harviestoun beer to be. Reasonable fullness in mouth, some nuttiness. Dryish finish.
