Cask @ 3 Judges. Copper colour, fluffy white head. Last bit of the cask, so to be qualified as such. Aroma is vegetables, bit boozy, soapy, nutty, caramel malts. Flavour is caramel malts, slightly hoppy, bit nutty, bit watery.

Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 08.09.10 Pours more dark amber than chestnut. Quite bitter and fruity with a dryness at the end, it’s served just a touch warm. It’s pleasant enough but I preferred last month’s special the Scuff Gold. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3
