Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear mellow yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a lots of straw and a bit of sweetness supporting. Flavor combines corn and straw with a slight sweetness in the finish.

Keg at the brewpub. Clear golden, large creamy white head, decent retention. Aroma of doughy malt, mild grassy hops. Taste is white bread, grassy hops, a mild bit of fruit. Thin, biscuity, dry, high carbonation.

On tap at the restaurant/brewpub in Escanaba. Clear straw body, medium off-white head. Grassy nose. Grassy, spicy, floral hops body with a crackery bite, quite full-flavored for the style. The bready malt features a touch of lemon. Dry, firm, bitter hops finish. Spritzy. Refreshing.

Thanks to Skyview again. Light hay and corn aroma. A little corn and sugar sweetness. Gold color. A very simple session beer that has little to offer, but is not offensive.

AHHHHH, such a nice place, this brewpub. H&H white tail ale. On tap at the Cranberry Twp brewpub near Pittsburgh PA. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head. Very nice sweet aroma, almost like flowery coconuts. Flavor is a mild bitterness and carbonation is good to medium low. Says it has low levels of hop bitterness. But I don’t sense any at all. Finish does have some personality like a mild ale. The only other golden I’ve had is Kocks Golden anniversary. This is certainly as good, probably much better than than.

Sampled on draft at the Cranberry Twp PA location this beer poured a pale golden color with a small white head. The aroma is faint sweet light malts. The flavor is light sour and tangy malts with a dry finish. Rather blah.
