Deep ruby in color, Red Giant contains caramel malt sweetness combined with significant hop bitterness and leathery aroma, resulting in a balanced flavor profile. Not a singular beer, Red Giant’s complexity offers a new flavor with every sip.

Growler pour at the Beer Shop, East Longmeadow, MA during a meet the brewer event, 19/05/13. Lightly hazed reddish amber with a thin beige head. Nose is hops, pine, caramel malts. Taste comprises malt, light pine, hops, touch of grapefruit, orange pith, grass, sugars. Full end of medium bodied, fine carbontation, crisp clean finish for an 8% beer with a touch of hop bitterness. A decent number.

Hazy dark red - brown beer. Big cream - tan head. Light lactose malt on the nose. Palate is crispy and semi dry. Creamy malt with robust hop bitterness but not much hop fruit except a trace of grapefruit. Whisper of bubblegum. Semi dry finish with strong bitter linger. Too much bitterness without any hop fruit.

10 oz. snifter @ Gardner Ale House. Deep ruby with a thin white ring of head. Nose is a subtle English malts. Flavor is a nice layered malt. Toffee, caramel and a light dark fruit note. Body is much lighter then it looks with a fruity hop note in the finish. Texture is on the oily side. It paired nicely with my Pulled Pork sandwich. The English "element" is very subtle. And the ABV is not detectable at all. Nice drinker.

Reddish brown / copper colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, soy sauce, old books and wood. Somewhat sweet flavour, light bitter, dry white wine. Quite dry finish, light sweet, bit of astringent hops.
Nice.

At monthly De Molen tasting. Clear amber color, medium sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, wood, a bit sweet. Hard to describe really, but very nice. Nice body, medium carbo.

Bottle at the De Molen second Tuesday tasting. Poured a clear dark brown with a tan head and broken lace. The aroma is roasted malt. The flavour is of caramel, malt and medium bitter. The palate is yeasty with some slightly bitter alcohol burn. Well worth tracking down to taste, but I feel it might become a little sickly after a while.

Location: 750 ml bottle, corked, caged, and wrapped in paper, from The Hop, 10/11/12

Aroma: The nose has sweet malts, some bread, and hints of roast as well
Appearance: It pours a dark reddish color with a small beige head and light lace
Flavor: The taste is medium sweet, it is fairly malty, and has a light hop bitterness present
Palate: The body is medium, it has a soft carbonation, a little stickiness, and a lightly dry finish
Overall Impression: This beer is decent, there's nothing particularly wrong with it, but it is nothing to write home about. The flavors are fine, but nothing stands out. Drinkable. Didn't do much for me.
