26th Feb 2021; random beer tasting evening with the wife and son, no theme, just decided to shift a few bottles and cans. 500ml bottle from a B&M Bargains store in Telford Town Centre. Thin white head on a clean golden body, looked good. Malty front to the nose and taste with a subtle fruity hop undertone. Easy drinking beer and fine all round.

500ml bottle. Gold with small white head, thin retention. Aroma of biscuit malts, sweeteners and raisins. Taste is big on biscuit malts, with underlying fruity and floral notes. Moderate body, nice carbonation. I would love to know how close this is to the original from 150+ years ago. To be fair there is nothing exciting here but its a good solid traditional styled brew.
