A rich and creamy sour wheat beer, brewed with raspberries.
Taste: Sweet creamy raspberry with a tingling, zesty acidity. The light, almost farmhouse malt body slides slowly down the tongue almost as a meringue, balanced by a juicy creamy lactose touch.

Draught at KØ18. Good raspberry aroma. Cloudy light red colour. Small white head. Good citric raspberry flavour. Has a little sweetness, so it is quite well-balanced. Reminds me of rhubarb for some reason. Not too dry finish. Good.

On tap at Oluthuone Kaisla, pours a hazy red with no head. Nose brings out fresh tart raspberries, with dry oats and a touch of lactose. Flavour is nicely fruity, with lots of tart raspberries, subdued just a tad by the lactose, and finishing yogurty and tart. Carbonation is flat, but works decently enough. Nice fruited kettle sour.

Reddish colour with light haze and no head. Aroma and flavour have some fruity, sour raspberries. There's some sweetness there too which helps with the balance.

2018 - Came by Takumiya for that Prenzlauer Berg Berliner Weiss. It looks like a strawberry smoothie! Opaque milky red in color with an acidic lactic aroma. Light bodied, dry and refreshing the taste is sweet strawberries then tart acidic raspberries. Good stuff though more like a cocktail than a beer. A pitcher of this frozen margarita style in summer would be amazing. 2022 - can- I bought this as I briefly lived in Prenzlauer Berg! Pohjala Prenzlauer BergRaspberry Sour 4.5% Salmon pink in color with the briefest wisp of pinkish white foam. The aroma is tart berries and I got spicy almost cinnamon notes -checked the label and while it has lactose and spelt there’s no cinnamon in it. Medium to full bodied but very dry. The taste is raspberry tartness then sweetness but with a soda bread malt character before you get a tangy berry sweet yet tart hit in the finish. Not bad but honestly it seems designed to crush and forget about. I snagged a Godiva dark chocolate and raspberry bar on sale so decided to do a little dessert pairing. Very rich chocolate but the raspberry seems subdued paired with the beer - the beer becomes brightly tart and acidic while the chocolate becomes luscious decadent. Nice.
