For the ides of March we've got a double-trouble release of our favourite red fruit: Cherries. The second of which we went big with Boom & Crust. A 10.5% Black Cherry Pie Pastry Stout. A delicious confection of Black Cherry juice, Red Cherry puree and vanilla. The sweetening touch of lactose is balanced by wholesome roasted malts.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 28/02/21. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is dark malts, mellow roast, chocolate, spice, light red berry notes. Taste comprises chocolate dipped cherries, Black Forest Gateaux, mellow roast, light spice, toffee, brow sugar dusting. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Decent impy ... does what it says on the tin in terms of getting the cherry profile across.

28/2/2021. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours black with a small bubbly/frothy beige head. Aroma of black cherry, roasted malt, chocolate, cherry cake, cherry liquor. Medium sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness with a touch of tart cherry. Medium to full body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Nice cherry chocolate finish. Enjoyable.

Can at home. Shared with Dutchdrebus. Fortunately we drank this at the end of the evening. I know I dislike this one, but frankly now, after quite some other beers, I can handle it. The cherry isn't so bad, cherry stone tart in there as well but now I can handle it. 6.3 now but probably a 4 otherwise.
