The natural daughter of Saint Landelin, the DIVINE is a golden beer named after the beatified founder of Crespin Abbey, known from the Middle Ages.
As golden as her eldest is blond, as sweet and generous as her eldest is fruity and lively, the Divine is positioned as a true Grand Cru from the Holy Landelin.

Unterdurchschnittlich. 9/5/7/5/7/6

Toffee and fig nose. Light grassy hints. Clear amber, headless. Starts off with malty toffee, like an English bitter. Strongly musty pear and apple core finish. Nice transitions and balance. Delightful all around.

Lightly off-white head over coppery-orange, well-carbonated beer. Good hops and some good malts, lightly caramelized, but the hops linger on. Sweet, caramelized flavours, toasted notes, corn flakes. Titillating MF, slick, and a bit of oxydation. Alcohol comes in at the very end, helping the sweetness intensify. Certainly not bad. The hops are welcomely traceable, pretty decent beer.

Medium white head. Paleish yellow body. Spicy herbal mealy aroma with alcohol notes in the background. Dry-sweet papery earthy herbal taste. Light body. Mild, yet hot, mouthfeel. Dry mealy alcoholic aftertaste with grassy earthy notes. A buttery flavour lingers. Decent, but not exactly great. Could hide the alcohol better, too. (0.33l bottle, E. Leclerc, Fondettes.)

750 from Malt & Vine. Pours copper with a foamy off-white head does some ringy lacing. Lush aroma of fruit over caramel. Near full bodie with foamy carbonation. Flavor is woody, fruity, and followed by warm caramel. Then something like mildly bitter oak. It finishes almost dry and definitely bitter. It’s a pretty good drink. Love the style, and this is a good one.

bottle - Golden pour with a big, heavy lacing, off-white head. The aroma is of yeast and malt with some fruity notes of citrus and grape. It tastes of sweet malt that’s a bit on the grainy side with some fruit characteristics a a touch of hops. Medium bodied. It’s fairly good, but to me the aroma promised more than the flavor delivered.

Bottle, 8.5%. Sweetish caramelly aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Very small white head. Mildly sweet flavour. Rough, but nice hop flavour. OK aroma hop notes as well.
