È bevibile e di facile approccio per la sua categoria di appartenenza grazie al corpo leggero, ancorché dotato di particolare complessità aromatica con note di malto e caramello. Tale risultato è ottenuto mediante l’uso di un processo di produzione che conserva ancora la pratica delle tre miscele di mosto, metodo tradizionale e che richiede tante risorse, ormai quasi in disuso. L’esclusivo processo di fermentazione a bassa temperatura, lungo e complesso, le conferisce un gusto morbido ed unico, che le permette di distinguersi fortemente all’interno della categoria birre rosse.

Bottle, 0.5l. Clear amber pour, one finger frothy off-white head, short lasting. Minimal lacing on the glass. Sweet on the nose, herbal candy, caramel, tea leaves. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. Soft and smooth mouthfeel and texture, chewy, slightly sticky. Sweet taste with moderate bitterness in the background. Aroma of toasted caramel, herbal candy, dried fruits. Light spice, sugary, sticky. Lingering bitterness in the background. Medium lasting finish, dry. Decent.

50cl Fles bij Il Pinguino Porlezza. Koper-amber kleur, witte kraag. Zoet, caramel, metaal, wat gedroogd donker en rood fruit, licht kruidig, bitter, wederom metalig. Lichte body. Nah.

A bottle thanks to Janeš, shared with him. Clear amber, small off-white head. Sugary, malty, caramel aroma, nice toasty aroma, rooibos tea. Mild malty, toasty and caramel flavour, some spice. Thin.

Bottle. Clear amber sporting a small white head. Aroma of cherries, red grapes, grains and marzipan. Taste of red fruits, grains, malts, biscuits and metal. Herbal bitterness. Medium carbonation. Could do with a little bit more balance. So-so. Nice bottle though.

Bottle 500ml (Spar). Clear amber-copper colour and small white head. Caramelly and a bit bready aroma. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Caramalt, grass, bready malts, touch of alcohol and overall a bit of industrial vibe. But drinkable brew.
