STOUT is erg vol van smaak in een verdiept pallet vol herinneringen en toch laag in alcohol.
Brouwerij EVER BIER voegt in de brouwkookfase gruit toe in het bier: een eeuwenoud gebruik dat door middel van lokale helende kruiden het bier op smaak brengt.
Bij STOUT krijgen de diepe aroma's van het superieure Maris Otter mout en de Willamette hop een extra smaak verdieping door o.a. de gagel en de paardebloemwortel in het gruit recept.

Pours very dark brown. Medium sized, lightly tanned head. Foam is unstable, but nothing overly extreme (the brewer warned me, and said i'ts because of the herb's natural oils ) . Scent is mild. Tad roasty, bit of a herbal aroma. Very natural, easy going, and fairly balanced!
Taste is mild, with a thin body and relatively high carbonation. Roasty aroma, towards burnt and ashy, but not overstepping the border. Of course Guiness pops in mind, but this has less coffee feel. Surprisingly bitter finish. Herbal notes are very mild. Interesting enough, fairly balanced low ABV stout. Perhaps a tad overcarbed to me, but knowing the average Belgian consumer, this will have some potential in the market. Perhaps a bit too easy going for the geek-segment though.
