Inspired by a historic white ale from Antwerp, Inge is a strong, multigrain witbier, brewed with barley, wheat, oats, buckwheat and rye, and spiced with lemon peel and chamomile for a bright, floral taste, making it the perfect beer for the coming winter patio season.

Taster. Appearance: hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: crispy, some flowery notes and a bit of peppery character. Taste: along the same lines, full-bodied, refreshing. Finishes with some flowery bitterness. Overall: good one.

Poured from the tap. Opaque gold with white head. Chamomile and mild multigrain bready malt, feint hint of lemon, touch of esters. Okay.

Bottle, LDB. The colour is dull, just a thin head. So it doesn't look at that appetizing. The aroma is also that sort of dull, yeasty, sweatsock kind of thing, although there is some lemon that comes out. Maybe some plastics in there as well. On the palate, that same yeasty dominance. Less plastic though still there. Not picking up lemon peel or chamomile. There's a touch of alcohol in the finish, and it's generally malty, but the malts don't really leave much of an impression. The brett hasn't kicked in here, and I think the little bit of stickiness really requires that the brett does its thing. But then, I feel the base is a miss and it's hard to brett your way out of that.
