For the Vintage Ale 2020, we've stayed true to our roots - sourcing all our ingredients here in the UK. The story starts with DRC®, a Double Roasted Crystal malt from East Anglia that promises malty sweetness rich in caramel and raisin. Then there's the Herefordshire hops - Jester® and Godiva- adding ripe berry fruit and tangy citrus notes to the signature marmalade flavours of our famous Fuller's yeast.

Purchased from Fuller’s. Pours a deep mahogany colour with a frothy tan head. Rich aromas of prune, dried fruit and caramel. Taste is rich and complex. Slightly nutty with notes of caramel, fruit cake, ripe banana, toast and oak. Very satisfying taste with a long lasting aftertaste. A superb Vintage Ale.

0,5 flaske delt med BFF Stephen: klar rødlig mahogny med utmerket skumkrone som varer lenge nok. Tørkede frukter, sviskeplommer, madeira, mørke bær, eik/vanilje, hint av nøtter og en silkemyk urtebitterhet. Vidunderlig drikke for spesielle anledninger.

(Bottle) Brownish red colour with frothy, tan head. Malty nose with dried fruit, caramel, fruit cake, dried apricots, orange peel, marmalade, nougat and chocolate. Malty, fruity taste with notes of fruit cake, caramel, dried apricots, orange peel, raisins, nougat, chocolate and a mild spicy/earthy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, quite sweet. Complex, strongish and well balanced. Very nice.

Bottle from the lcbo. Gorgeous copper pour, with a large off white head. Aroma is raisins, bready malts, brown sugar, pie crust. Mouth feel and carb are spot on. Medium bitterness, marmalade, bitter orange and bready brown sugar. Nice!

Bottle at home because I've got to drink these at some point! Great pour and the usual attractive look in the glass. Huge rich and sweet malts I the flavour and it slipped down way too easily.

500ml bottle from Waitrose back in Christmas 2020. Slightly misty deep amber body, good lasting off-white head. Lots of dates and malty cake fruit in this, good solid mouthfeel, boozy finish. Aged really well, and could probably go an extra year. Powerful.

Bottled 500ml. -at Goblet Zagreb, shared with Marko. Bottle No.085291 Dark amber/brownish coloured, medium sized off-white head, caramel and light oxidation in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, dried fruits and touch of oxidation with dusty sweetish finish.
