Fiere Marie, onze Proud Mary met Achterhoekse knipoog. Een New England IPA (NEIPA) met 5,5 % alc. Fris en heel fruitig. Grapefruit, mandarijn, sinaasappel, bessen. Alles zul je straks in de smaak tegenkomen. Bomvol Fruit.
NEIPA betekent New England India Pale Ale. Een biersoort overgewaaid vanuit het Noordoosten van de USA. NEIPA is een variant op de overbekende IPA, maar dan minder bitter, veel fruitiger en ietskes troebel.
Amerikanen zijn hier nogal trots op, evenals op hun Proud Mary. Een wereldhit.
Dit heeft ons geïnspireerd om onze eigen Achterhoekse variant hierop te brouwen met de eigenwijze en trotse naam: Fiere Marie. Want hier doen we alles altijd al een beetje anders! Vinden we leuk en zijn we groots op. Al eeuwenlang.
Hier in Groenlo zijn we trots op onze stad, trots op ons bier en trots op onze mooie meiden. Vandaar Fiere Marie. Door speciale mout, bijzondere gist en veel hopsoorten krijg je een zeer fruitig bier. De open vergisting zorgt uiteindelijk voor heerlijke aroma’s van citrus, limoen, mandarijn, grapefruit en bessen.
Fiere Marie, bomvol fruit. Ook lekker als je niet ziek bent!

On tap @ Brouwersnös, Groenlo. Hazy amber with a white head. Caramel aroma with some fruity hops. Sweet taste with a medium bitter finish. Not hoppy enough for a (NE)IPA and too much caramel. Tastes old and slightly oxidized.

Fles 33cl thuis. Caramel, fruitig, citrus, hoppig, vrij zoet, sinaasappel, abrikoos, mandarijn, haver, druivensuiker. A-typische NEIPA. (28-8-2022).

Bottle, 5.5%. Citric and fruity aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is fruity, but more like old papery fruit than fresh and juicy fruit. Low bitterness. Still has more than ayear and a half until BB date, but does not taste fresh at all.

Bottle. Amber color. Yeast and traubenzucker in the aroma. Yeasty flavor with citrus and gummybears. Soft herbal notes, caramel, hint of banana.
