Bottle, courtesy of Benzai in EuroSwap. Thick and sweet, heavily malt-forward. Heavily heavily carbonated, making it very drinkable.

Hazy deep amber colour, large frothy beige head, diminishing slowly, fair lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, dried dark fruits, sugar syrup, leather. Taste is light heavy to medium sweet, light bitter, roasted malts, caramel, sugary. Medium to full body, oily texture, average carbonation, taste continues in the aftertaste plus some alcohol notes. A quite sugary and one-dimensional beer, decent Bock.

33cl Bottle from Speciaalbierwinkel Bodegraven. ABV is 6%. Reddish brown colour, light-beige head. Aroma is sweet, Roosvicee, red fruits, raisins, syrup, light spicy, burnt sugar. Flavour is sweet, light malty, dark fruits, sweet plums, Roosvicee, burnt sugar, hint of roasted malts, mostly sweet finish. Light to medium-bodied. Too sweet, and not very bock-like.

Thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass brownish, nice head. Starts strong-spicy, modest sourish, fruity hints of raisins. Some earthy notes. Finish still spicy-strong. Warming-malty finish. Nice!

0,33 l bottle bought directly at the brewery. Dark brown and unclear in the glass. Light tanned head. Plum and malt on the nose. Starts hopy fresh with plums, dark berriefruits, light coffie and malt. Mid sweetness, medium body, light alcoholic. To the end a little bit sticky. Good one!

mooi kastanjebruin helder met minimale kaki kraag aroma: donkere fruit, caramout, zoet en kardemon smaken: redelijk zoet, matig bitter, donkere fruit (pruim), redelijk gemout (aardse mout smaken), redelijk kruidig, kruidnagel, zoethout, kardemon, koriander, laurier romig/glad in de mond, het bier heeft een iets té overheersende kardemon smaak. --- Beer merged from original tick of Windbuul (oude versie) on 17 May 2018 at 11:36 - Score: 6
