This ale is traditionally highly hopped and robust to survive the long voyage to the Indian sub-continent. The result is a full-bodied Pale Ale with a zesty character. Dark golden in colour, pleasing toffee aromas, and distinctive floral citrus flavours.

Bottle shared with Lyoli. Pours a clear, rich copper with a small, filmy white head. Light metal, fruity hop, bread and pasteurization in the nose. Very pleasat flavor, with some mild caramel, pine and citrus bitters. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. The finish has some slight, resinous hops with an earthy quality, modest honey, caramel and bread. Some bitterness lingers in the throat. A very enjoyable beer overall.

Pours dark amber with an off-white lasting head.Nose shows some caramel malt but seems somewhat dirty. Nice earthy and resinous hops though.Same problem with the malt as a flavour. The hops are once again quite noticeable, but the bitterness they provide is dull. Some nutty notes.Good moderately high carbonation.

From a 500ml bottle on 17/8/2010. Has quite a strong fruity aroma (dark berries) and some honey. Almost smells a little like muscat. In the mouth, it’s sweet and fruity, and honeyed, with some caramel and a little spice. Has a firm and lingering bitterness at the end. Not an entirely typical IPA, but very enjoyable. And like all St Peter’s brews, it comes in a lovely bottle.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as lighter notes of hops and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of flowery hops, leading to a dry and bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Green bottle: Celery and grassy hops fight through some skunk on the nose. Hazy golden, thick white head, nice lacing, streams of carbonation. Skunked celery flavor, beginning to end. 5.5% ABV tastes more like 8.5%. Thin mouthfeel. Unique and not all that bad if it wasn’t for the skunkiness.
