medium amber color. Dry strawberries, minerally nose with with breast notes. Kinda an odd bitterness, way too bitter for the style. Clean.
Decent enough but a bit disjointed

Light spiciness, bit of sweet maltiness, some hoppy bitterness. Quite enjoyable! Bit of treacle maybe. Like it!

Bottle, mail order from the brewery. Exactly the nose I expected. Nutty malt, caramel, light chocolate, toasted bread, biscuit, earthy hops. Rich malt but grainy and dry. Deep amber orange, clear, with a thick, medium high head. Very nutty and toasty, light stone fruit and apple, grainy, bread, very nice malt character with an earthy, herbal, spicy and bitter hop finish. Very malty yet super dry--it almost makes you thirsty to swallow it. Peppery, spicy after taste. Slightly too bitter maybe. Baeren is really nailing these subtle beers lately. The malt on this is really impressive, as is the whole package.
