Bottle. Black with beautiful thick beige head, with in the middle some big bubbles. Big toasted malts, chocolate pudding, bbq, lots of roasted nuts (walnuts, Brazil nuts), rye, brown bread, caramel, fudge. Boozy with cognac and bourbon. Thick flavor but not overtly sweet, roasted bitter finish. Full bodied with creamy feel. Big beer, and well done.

(Bottle) Very black with small tan head. Lovely rich complex aroma - dark toffee, licorice, coffee, dates. Fantastic palate - full bodied, thick, rich, creamy, slightly sticky with velvety carbonation with some fine bright sparkle to it. Excellent taste too - again rich and complex - dark toffee / black treacle with bitter chocolate and some slight notes of dried fruit through the start and mid-palate. There are some candy / cough medicine hints. A respectable bitterness develops in the finish and stays around a long time. Fantastic beer.

Pitch black, small frothy tan head, disappears quickly, light lacing. Aroma roasted malts, peat, licorice, dark chocolate, coffee, bit smoke. Flavour heavy sweet and bitter, salty notes, licorice, bit smoky. Full bodied, average carbonation, oily to sticky texture. Finish roasted bitter, sweet bits, spicy notes, a very intense and rich beer, great.

Bottle from the source. Jet black color, thick creamy brown pillowy head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of malted milk balls dipped in espresso. Taste is brunt espresso, licorice candy, cocoa powder. Delicious.

Very nice. Lots of coffee in this. Some dark chocolate and some sharp roast. Bitter finish. Light syrupy and oily texture. Pours black without much head or lacing. Good stuff. Tap at Pizzeria Paradiso Georgetown.

Bottle, 330 ml from Pivoljub, Ljubljana. Pours black with brown head. Roasted, chocolate aroma. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, liquorice flavor. Sweet. Not much carbonation. Drinkable considering the abv.
