Bottle from Noble Grains, New York, NY. A dark orange/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, pine aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus, pine, a little dry and bitter.

Clear light copper and amber coloured body with a one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of very rich and dank hops, resin, pineapples, grapefruit, pine and bunches of alcohol. Full-bodied; Strong rich pineapple and pine flavours at first with a lot of malt presence, some white grape flavours and a large sweetness of honey and syrup comes with the alcohol finish. Aftertaste is very nice and balanced with the hops leading the way, but fairly equal parts of malt, alcohol and sweetness, plus with some light complexity of tropical fruits and light herbs make this a very nice finish. Overall, a very good Imperial IPA with a ton of alcohol, but a very easy drinking beer in spite of the strength. Definitely worth trying if you like this style or even barley wines, since this is similar in texture and body to that. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Tyson’s Corner (Falls Church), Virginia on 27-March-2014 for US$2.99 sampled at home in Washington on 11-July-2014 in celebration of quitting my job!

Bottle. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Rather clear deep golden with an off-white head. Pleasant fruity, citric and piney hops with a light stale hint and a malty note. Sweetish malt flavor, a bit caramelly, with slightly citric and piney hops, a light stale note and a nice bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Nice and quite easy-drinking for 9.5%.

Bottle. Pours a nice, dark copper. Wonderful, strong hop aroma. Floral hop flavor, and very drinkable for a higher abv double IPA. A slightly bitter finish, with hops that will stick around a while. This is what I’m looking for in an IPA. Good stuff.

12 oz bottle, thanks brenn79! Aroma is fantastic for style, with pineapple, mango, cat pee, resin, garlic--very strong and unique, full of character. Pours clear copper with a large long-sustaining cream-colored head; leaves curtains of lace. Taste is nice, but it doesn’t live up to the aroma. Decent, overall.

On tap at Brewforia, Meridian, ID. Clear amber with a persistent modest white head. Strong sharp piney aroma. Full up front pine and resinous hop flavor. Lots of bitterness but balanced with the flavors. Finishes quick and a lingering woody trailer. Bold and bitter but nice flavors.
