Dark brown/black beer with beige head. Lots of roasted malts, coffee, earthy and ashy notes. Light sweetness. Where is the whisky?

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 5 | Overall - 5.5

Huge, dense beige head, slowly pitting in over black beer. Malty, roast, quite some chocolate, burnt wood, cardboard, dark green leaves, melanoidins. Possibly lactose. Bitterish, with a faint stout acidity enhanced by the CO². Light roast, liquorice without the sweetness; crisp roasted leaves; again lactose impression. Surprisingly thin, lean feel, certainly for a 9% stout, and flavours fading fast. Medium carbonation, creamy head. Thinnish, not really satisfying given the specs.
