Generously dry-hopped with Amarillo and Simcoe for a bright, piney punch, 1500 brings together orange blossom and grapefruit notes with a touch of honey sweetness. We don’t like choosing favorites, but 1500 is our perfect everyday hoppy beer.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks Ariel. Hazy yellow-ish color. Great citric hoppy aroma with some tropical fruits. Flavor has light sweetness and nice fresh bitter fruity hops. Medium-bodied and a bit over-carbonated. Lovely.

12 oz bottle from De Bierkoning. Golden to orange color. Big rocky white head. Aroma’s of pine, citrus & resin boast out of the bottle, along with some grainy maltiness. Flavor is fairly bitter. Lots of carbonation, but still enough body. Dry, long lasting bitter finish. Very nice!

Pours a rich amber with a big, slight off-white head. 1500 is described as a heavily dry-hopped APA, and it definitely tastes and smells like it. The hops smell like a combination of pineapple, tangerine rind and pine resin - quite delicious. The flavor starts with a bit of light caramel sweetness but quickly turns dry and bitter. I enjoy it, but I could see calling it over-hopped/bitter for the style. At any rate, it’s a refreshing beer, and I’d recommend it to anyone who doesn’t hate dry IPAs. It definitely packs a lot of hop flavor for a 5.5% abv beer. It might make a good entry point for anyone who wants to work up to hoppier beers, but if you’re looking for malt-forward pale ales, this is a beer that you should probably skip.
