@CBC Reception–on tap-pours a white head and gold color. Aroma is citrus/resin. Taste is citrus/resin hops, some medium malt. 3.8 *12oz bottle-pours a rich light tan head with trailing lace and gold color. Aroma is resin/herbal, some medium malt. Taste is resin/herbal/then drying pine hops with some bite, some medium malt. Crisp. 4.2

Draft. An amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of hops and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, grapefruit, and hay.

On draught. Crystal clear copper with an off-white head of small bubbles that linger, but do not build over the beer. Crisp pine tree on the nose. Very subtle aroma. Mouthfeel is medium and dies quickly. Seems to be a bitter bite in the mid-palate that kills the rest of the taste. One spike and this beer is gone. I’m wondering if the line is not clean at this bar as I am not getting any of the citrus from the hops they used.

Pours a hazy yellowish amber color with a medium and frothy white head that dissipates steadily. Sliding sheet of lacing on the glass. Hoppy aroma that has notes of grapefruit as well as some malt. Medium and crisp body with flavors of citrusy hops, malt and a bit of apricot. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness. Pretty good IPA overall.

On tap. Clear amber golden with an off-white head. Fresh and somewhat peachy aroma hops in the nose. Medium body with light caramels but not much of a malty feel. The finish is dry and quite hoppy. Nice one. 110709

From tap at Drakes, RBSG2009. Pours hazy dark orange with a small off-white head. Dense grapefruity and slight wooden hops aroma. Dry fruity, light spiced and crisp bitter. Light bodied. Bitter and dry finish.

Bottle. Pours with a hazy orange body and a nice, thick off-white head. Aroma of pungent citrus hops, with a bit of mango or papaya and sweet caramel. Taste is on the maltier side of things with a bit of soap, hops and caramel. Lively bubbles.

A careful pour of the bottle still brings up a two inch light tan rocky head with a copper body and gold edges. The pour shows signs of an infected bottle. The aroma is a pulse of grapefruit tartness, orange peel and lemon with a faint mix of caramel, grainy malts and nuttiness in the background. The taste begins with grapefruit hops and quickly becomes more tart with lemon acidity. By midway the malts make an appearance and smooth out the tartness for a moment or two with roasted malts and nuttiness. The hop tartness and mild acidity retake the flavor with some malt roastiness taking the experience to the finish. If it was infected I still enjoyed the ride.
