New England style double IPA from this – to me hitherto unknown – craft brewery in Michigan, can shared with Steve. Egg-white, membrane-lacing, creamy, medium sized head over a cloudy peach blonde beer with pale beige-ish tinge. Very intensely fruity nose: freshly squeezed orange juice, ripe mandarin, yellow kiwi, strong lychee and even lychee wine, mango, also impressions of marijuana, Screwdriver (or wodka), milk, dough, sweet onions. Very juicy onset, sweet with lots of fresh mandarin and juicy orange as well as pronounced lychee and mango, medium carbonated, full and doughy malt core, sweet and deeply soaked in this excessively fruity hoppiness, citrusy to the bone with a lot of ripe mandarin but also, again, tropical like mango and lychee, followed by some warming, wodka-like, but not too disturbing alcohol; ends a bit zesty, but remains low in actual hop bitterness. Typical modern ‘alcoholic fruit juice’ IPA – low in dankness and bitterness, but very high in citrusy and tropical fruitiness; sultry and vibrant, probably better conveying the Californian sun than the far more moderate climate of Michigan…

47 cl can @ olio, canned 30.10.2020 Aroma has citrus, some grapefruit. Flavour has grapefruit, fruit juice, tropical fruits, mild herbal bitterness. Crisp and nice, the hop profile is not exactly my thing though.

Can sourced from Ales & Brews and shared at home (11/12/2020) - hazed up golden orange with a white head. New brewery tick ✅ big bold fruity juicy with waves of grapefruit and mango, tangerine and papaya, touch of mosaic bubblegum, sweet malty and a dense smooth mouthfeel, dialed back tempered bitterness in the hoppy finish. Very nice.
