Bottled, 0.5l. Hazy deep golden color with large and long lasting creamy white head. Aroma of grainy malt, yeast and banana with light skunky note, too. Taste starts with rich malt, but it’s quickly followed by refreshing grainy and yeasty sourness which suddenly becomes too plain. Aftertaste is lightly bitter. Light to medium body, slick texture and soft carbonation in palate. Pretty decent hefe...

0,5l bottle in Egypt (12/16/2009). Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of wheat and banana. Sweet and fruity with minimal bitterness. Quite refreshing and definitely my favourite Egyptian beer.

Bottle, 5% at Cairo Hilton. Dusty, unpleasant aroma. Hazy orange colour. OK stable white head. Slightly plasticky. The flavour is wheaty, I do not get any banana, but fat mouthfeel. Low bitterness, quite rough flavour. Drinkable, but not up to German standards.

Hefig-hebrer Geruch, etwas abgestanden. Hefig-muffiger Antrunk, wenig Weizen-artig, das Bier schmeckt eher nach einem langweiligen Lager, sehr mild werdend. Absolut nicht lecker! Danke an Barak! Test vom 27.3.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,5,5,4,7,4 - 4,95

Bottle. Looks very pretty - Cloudy yellow color with huge white head that diminishes rather slowly - almost temped to give this one ’5’ for appearance. Nice fruity wheaty aroma with some clove. Sweet wheaty flavor with some banana and a bit of clove. Finishes slightly acidic with a light touch of bitterness. It has the usual Weizen light body. Very quenching and enjoyable and seems alot more traditional and true to style than I’d expect from an Egyptian Weizen. Thanks David K for bringing me this nice gem from Egypt.
