South Germany inspired light and refreshing blonde Helles beer.

On tap at Basqueland Izakaia. Pours a clear yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has lots of straw and some sweet grains with a bit of biscuit underlying. Flavor has biscuit and straw with a slight bread note underlying.

Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles' place. Thanks zvikar. Pretty clear yellow. Citric, grainy, noble hops, slightly sweetish, bitterish touch. OK.

Can 33 cl. Pours a cloudy golden with a white head. Malty, bready nose. Medium body, grainy, sweet malts with a subdued bitterness. Solid malt base but could use some more hops both for aroma and bitterness. 090822

Keg at Olgod - BCN. Pours clear yellow-gold with a modest, creamy white head. Lightly sweet, somewhat dry, ample crispy cereal, a little straw, pale biscuits. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more pale biscuits, light dough. Sound for the style.

Just perfect right now. Early flight to Madrid. Then a 13km sightseeing run. Shower. And now beer and tapas all day long. Vamonos!
