Dunkler, beerig fruchtiger und nussig-karamelliger Sauerbeginn, bereits komplex und hochinteressant. Spritzig, geringe Bitterkeit, die Säure steigt an, moderat kräutrig. Dunkel malziger, konstant saurer Mittelteil, langer Nachhall. Gut! 10/14/12/14/11/13

33cl can. Deep fruity chocolate nose. The beer starts sour with fruity cherries and dark chocolate. Sour dark berries, a bit bitter tart in the end. Fruity tart souring with chocolate and dry caramels there. Fruity sour, very interesting twist.

330ml bottle from Morrisons and my first dark sour. Eye - black with small beige head, circular retention. Aroma - huge chocolate and nut aroma with hints of red fruit, yikey. Taste - very different. Its certainly tart and sour with sharp cranberries taking centre stage, before chocolate and hazelnuts come in with a slight roastiness. Palate - moderate body, sticky and slightly chewy. Overall - its difficult to reconcile the aroma to the taste. Its so sour that the chocolate and hazelnut get a bit lost. Maybe I need to get used to the style. Its an intriguing beer though.

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma beige quasi inesistente, colore marrone intenso, al naso è molto particolare caffè cacao nocciola, in bocca su tutto nocciola poi caffè cacao e mirtilli, corpo leggero, bella acida, carbonazione leggera, amaro percettibile. Found at Kyoto Isetan. Brewdog Sour Grinch 6% Chocolate, Cranberry & Hazelnut Sour Mellow brown with little foam and a very Christmasy aroma. At first I thought I perceived spices, a closer whiff gives soft chocolate and hazelnut with a tangy edge. The taste was much more tart than I expected, almost mouth puckering. Lots of tart sharp cranberry is followed by soft cocoa chocolate with mild nuttiness in the aftertaste. This paired really well with a berry tart, on its own I find it a bit much.

330ml can from Brewdog advent calendar. Dark brown with a tan head that quickly fizzed away. Sweet chocolate aroma with mild sour notes. Flavour is sour fruit with some chocolate and a little coffee. Lovely
