The Black Rose is definitely a source of pride in Békésszentandrás. This unfiltered doppelbock is slightly sparkling and measures at 22˚ Plato, which makes it a real delicacy for gourmets. It is a full-body beer, rich in malts, but still smooth and silky with a velvety taste, coffee and caramel flavours, sometimes with aromas reminiscent of dried fruit.

Bottled- Very deep red colour, small brown head. Aroma is rosewood, some sweet malts, mild spices as well as some burnt sugar. Flavour is very much alcohol, some resin, some herbs and spices and a tongueburning alcohol sting to it. A bit like floral extra kick in the back.

Flaske 0,33l spandert av Rune og delt under rateseanse i WCveien 4 Okt 12. Ultradyprød. Filmtynt skum med litt farge. Veldig god sviske-/rosinaroma. Sherryaktig. Balansert. Komplekst. Smak av mørke bær. Banan. Sjokolade. You name it. Veldig bra. Overraskelse.

0.33l bottle. Very dark ruby/black body with a quickly disappearing brown head. Caramel, cherries and reisins in the aroma. Some roastiness and dark fruits in the flavor. Warming alcohol, medium body. It’s like a baltic porter. Decent beer.

Nem rossz ez, de szerintem azért kicsit túlértéklejkük itt...nice try, de meég messze nem érdemli meg azt a 89 pontot, amit akkor birtokolt, mikor értékeltem... ...

330ml bottle with a black neck bought at Csak á Jó Sör in Budapest. Shared with Finn back home at a drinking session. Tiny, fawn-coloured head. The body appearance is black assisted by a deep, ruby shade. Distant roastiness to a vinous kind of aroma, rather dry. Comprehensive taste profile containing black berries, dark malts, wood and anise overlaid by a cherry component. Not overly sweet ending. Balanced and full bodied. Hidden alcohol. Nice, little sipper (Tromsø, 04.10.2012).
