Sweet malt, toffee and caramel and a touch of roasted malt is balanced by the clean fresh hop. Very full bodied but easy drinking with a pleasant bitterness – smooth, rich and malty.

440ml can as "McCallum’s Sweet Scottish Stout" with widget. Pours reddish brown with a creamy beige head. Malty aroma... couldn’t find any coffee or roastiness.Taste is sweet, caramel. Soft carbonation, almost flat. Meh, strange stout.

Aroma dulce, tostado. Rico sabor, caramelo, dulce sin ser empalagosa. Amargor herbal amortiguado y notas tostadas. Buen cuerpo y carbonatación. Superbebible y agradable.

Bottle. A clear, reddish dark brown beer topped by a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma has some prunes and quite a lot of toffee. Some raisins too, hints of honey, coffee and sugar. It’s semi-sweet on the palate, medium bodied and soft, with a little bitterness. Some bitterness in the flavor, coffee-ish bitterness in the finish. Too butterscotch-ish, toffee mostly, I think, but it’s sure drinkable. 140815
