Sweet malt, toffee and caramel and a touch of roasted malt is balanced by the clean fresh hop. Very full bodied but easy drinking with a pleasant bitterness – smooth, rich and malty.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Medium head with medium duration. Very light for a stout type. Tastes more like an ale actually.

Dark reddish brown with a decent, but not long lasting head. Aromas of malt, molasses and caramel. Quite sweet with a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Pleasant and unspectacular.

Bottle. Acidic aroma. Very dark brown colour. Stable rocky head. Flavour is hoppily fruity and malty with a hint of liquorice and coffee. Fruity stout? Sweet, salty aftertaste. Quite tasty for its ABV.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pitch black with a tint of red. Dense, light brown head. Soft and malty with a weak, burned edge. Not as dry as a typical Irish Stout, actually a bit sweet with almost no bitterness. Very pleasant. 050203

Lightly hazy deep brown ale with a creamy moka head. Aroma of chocolate, prunes, and wet dog hair. In mouth, nice powdery chocolate with smokey peat notes, butterscotch and sweet berries. No bitterness and lightly oily mouthfeel. A rather thin stout. Bought in Nova Scotia, at VinArt.

Bottled. Dark brown with brownish head. Roasted malt in aroma with hints of caramel. Flavour is dominated by roast and caramel but also has some hints of cold and old coffee. A bit watery for being a stout. (6 4 6 3 11)
Bottled. (re-rate Dec 2006). Dark ruby red colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, raisins and slight hops. Flavour is plum, raisins, dry dark fruit and malts. Sadly almost no roast in it, only some weak hints. Still a very nice stout, with aftertaste of flowery hops, plum and mild roastiness. Slightly highers rating now than in 2005. 7 4 6 4 13.

As said this is more like an ale than a stout. Dark ruby brown. Vanishing small brown head. Aroma is slightly flowery. Taste is light for stout and it is sweet and herbal. Finishes quickly. (5/4/6/2/11 2.8)
Re-rate nitro can 440ml
Dark ruby color, creamy beige head. Aroma has caramel and tartness. Smooth, light-bodied. LIght toastyness, light tartness, berries, aspartame. No need to drink it for another 13 years ... (4/4/5/2/9 2.4)

Dark amber color. Caramel nose, malt. Sweet malt taste and rather poor hop. Not a stout, more like an unfermented wort.

A brown beer with a fine light brown head. The aroma is very slight but contains notes of sweetness, fruit and smoke. The flavor is sweet at first (not very stout'y), then it turns slightly smoked, and dry with fruit notes. It ends on a sweet bitterness. It's a nice beer, but not a stout in my universe.
