Sweet malt, toffee and caramel and a touch of roasted malt is balanced by the clean fresh hop. Very full bodied but easy drinking with a pleasant bitterness – smooth, rich and malty.

Bottle at the Kaledonia in Budapest.Poured a dark red body with a lasting tan head. Sweet, light nose, raisins and earthy roasty maltiness. This is a light roasty and earthy stout with some light acidic notes too. Dryish hop near the end. Not bad, but like the other Belhaven beers I’ve had yesterday, distinctly average at best.

Dark brown in colour with some red tinges and a large tan head. Slightly dry aroma with some roasted malt and a slight herby element. Fairly roasted and malty taste with some light coffee hints followed by a fairly subtle roasted aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottled(330ml). -Dark brown coloured, medium pale brown (like cappuccino) head, pleasant chocolate licorice nose. Aroma of roasted malt and black chocolate with slight caramel and fruity notes. Tasty and very nice despite lower alcohol content than usually.
