Dark & Stormy

0.33 l can from 'Ace Drinks', canned in November 2020. Clear, very dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, minimally roasty and a little fruity aroma of caramel, wet leaves, light raisins and a touch of chocolate. Quite sweet, malty, slightly bitter, a bit fruity taste of caramel, cocoa, raisins, light prunes, burnt sugar and hints of leaves, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, minimally roasty, a bit boozy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid but not very deep, a little monotonous actually.

Can, sample, dark brown beer, small head. Aroma is malt, sweet, caramel, fruit. Taste is the same, light alcohol, bittersweet, very nice.

Can at home. Pours deep ruby brown, nose is meaty, malty, caramel, toffee, nutty, taste is burnt malts, toffee, juicy berries, nutty.

Blik 33cl thuis. EBU26. Zoet, caramel, hop (Amarillo, Nugget), licht vanille, butterscotch, licht plakkerig, rozijn, pruim, zoethout. (29-12-2020).

Can. Dark ruby pour. Aroma of caramelised malt, raisin, dates, molasses and lot of malt. Taste has sticky caramelised malt, raisin, dates, little iron, molasses and a malty finish. Quite simple and a bit thin.

Can. Dark brown color, caramel and hazelnuts in the aroma and flavor. Sweet, a bit dusty maybe. Too sweet and onedimensional to make a real impression.
