Cask @ Brewery Tap, Peterborough. Clear light gold with a decent white head. Aroma of gooseberry, grain and a tiny bit of funk. It taste extremely good: a bitter hoppy hit with more bitterness at the back of the throat. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Thin palette. A great beer, but then I’m having it in optimum condition.

On tap at Thomsons Bar Appearance - lemon to golden with a nice head. Nose - lemon and grapefruit with a yeasty backbone. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - good Golden Ale.

Cask at Staggs Bar. Clear golden body with a dense white head. Thick lacing that completely coats the glass. Aroma of soap, grapefruit and orange. Flavour of citrus fruit and straw - wonderfully balanced and incredibly drinkable. Medium body with an oily texture. Flat carbonation. A lovely beer, much better on cask than in bottle (so much so that I’m going to gave to revisit the bottled version, which I only rated as 2.7).

Cask at Thomson’s. Pours very pale yellow, with good white head & lacing. Soft carbonation. Aromas are citrus and pineapple, not getting much malt. Taste is bitter with a very slight and pleasant sourness. Creamy, medium body, good bitter finish. Another nice pint. In my limited experience with this brewery, better on cask than bottle.

On cask at The Bartons Arms, pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of floral hops, English hops and some zesty biscuity malts. Quite smooth and on the hoppier side. Decent stuff.
