Pouring a deep, golden colour with wafts of sweet honey, Humdinger is a multi-award winning speciality ale. The enticing scent comes from the Mexican aroma honey which comes through in subtle undertones and balances impeccably with the traditional bitter notes and malt. Humdinger first came to life after winning a top brewing competition in 2004.
Full of character and flavour, the use of fine English malt and citrus whole hops lead to a well-rounded, lightly hopped and satisfyingly refreshing ale. It’s lightly carbonated, smooth and brewed at 4.1%, making it an ideal choice for a laid-back evening or day session.
A Humdinger indeed.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Amber with a ring of off-white head; rather stale, malty aroma with trace of honey; some honey flavour too, giving a smooth texture; some underlying bitterness, but rather bland overall.

Hazy amber colour. Very strong honey aroma. Sweet honeyed flavour is well balanced against some citrusyhop and a dry, bitter finish.

Bottle, LLH, Crosby. Amber yella, fading film like head. Cheap tesco value honey aroma and taste. Sickly sweet, lacking in chracter and body. Not great at all.
