ベースとなる「ブラウンエール」は名前の通り、見た目の色合いを指すもので、ブラウンモルトと呼ばれるイギリス産の麦芽を使用することでこの色合いが生まれます。このブラウンモルト、仕上がりに香ばしいアーモンド様のフレバーを与えてくれます。
今回はそんなブラウンエールに、ヘーゼルナッツペーストと、乳糖を加えました。
グラスを傾けると、まずは、ヘーゼルナッツの香ばしい香り。次に口に含むと、ブラウンモルト由来のアーモンドを思わせる豊かなフレバーが口の中に広がります。モルト（麦芽）の甘みに加えて、プラスした乳糖の主張しすぎない柔らかな甘みが、味わいを下支えしています。最後に、わずかに感じられるホップの苦味の余韻が全体を引き締めてくれます。
アルコール度数は低めの4.0%。
スイーツと合わせてもよいですし、いっそ、デザート代わりに飲んでみてもOK。これからの季節、喉の渇きを癒やすだけでなく、ゆっくりと時間をかけて飲んでいただけたら、さらに香りと味わいをより楽しんでいただけます。

This time of release is the English Brown Ale. The brown malt gives the beer a fragrant almond-like flavor. Furthermore, we have added hazelnut paste and lactose to this brown ale. You can enjoy the elegant aroma of hazelnut and rich almond flavor from the brown malt. A slight hop bitterness in the after-taste puts the whole thing together and will remind you that this drink is beer. It can be pairing with sweets, or even can be enjoyed as dessert.

Tap at Crafthouse. Pretty deep brown with a thick, low head. Nose is caramel malt, hazelnuts, chocolate. Sweet and milky, tasty nuts and caramel. A bit too sweet for my taste, but a well made low abv winter beer.

Nara Brewing Nuts and Milk English Brown Ale w/ Hazelnuts 4% IBU 12 Russet reddish brown with a big sweet hazelnut aroma. The medium body is very sweet, kind of too sweet for me - yep lactose. I need to wonder what it would’ve been like without lactose. I’m guessing the nuts would be lost.
