Hay is for horses. They neigh for hay. It's their way of saying "hey! (Or g'day!) Give me some hay." And when they get hay they say "yay i got some hay, what a great day!" We, however, prefer things with lots of chocolatey, biscuity, smooth toffee ice creamery deliciousness. And beer. And holdin' hay (but not on our own).

From a 330ml bottle on 11/11/2015. Pours a golden brown with virtually no head. Has a mild sweet malt aroma. The flavour really is reminiscent of a Golden Gaytime, with toffee and honey particularly prominent, along with some creamy vanilla. There’s the faintest bitterness at the back, but it’s a real sweetie. The texture is a bit syrupy and the carbonation is soft. Moon Dog’s Pash Rash Redskins stout is a bit of hero beer of mine, and this is not in the same class, but it’s still a very interesting dessert beer. It would actually go beautifully with a Gaytime.

On tap at Gertrude Hotel: pours amber. Very heady caramel nose. Creamy mouthfeel. Biscuit, caramel and nuts play off well and this does genuinely resemble an old favourite dessert.
