We love making reference to and resurrecting old in-house favourites here at Polly’s HQ, and treating them to all the modern and new techniques we’ve learned over the last three years as a brewery. Columbus Mosaic was a surefire sleeper hit from our dearly departed Originals range back in 2019, and we’re bringing it right into 2020 with an amplified dry hop bill, and a 100% new in-house LA3 strain for maximum suspension. We’ve squeezed every ounce of flavour we can out of this beer – Columbus bringing some surefire old school pine and resin to the table, before being balanced out with a whole host of dank, juicy, tropical notes from the ever dependable brewery favourite, Mosaic. Originals range completely kicked into the present!

Can from Hoptimism. Appearance - murky golden brown. A thin white head. Quite puddle like. Aroma - orange, melon and pine. Taste - lemon, herbs and general grassiness. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture. Soft carbonation with balanced bitterness on the finish. Overall - didn't look great but improved thereafter!

Cloudy/murky gold with a tiny, bubbly white head, and pineapple and hints of pine on the nose. The taste is semi-juicy with a hint of bitterness, a lovely smooth mouthfeel and a bittersweet finish

Keg at Anchor Tap & Bottle, Croxley, Herts. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit, pine aroma and taste. Very nice but quite sweet IPA.

Can from Honest Brew and (two years later) from House Of Trembling Madness. Murky golden body with a thick white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of melon, papery malt and pine. Flavour of lemon, basil and straw. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Dry and sharp. Not one of my favourite Polly’s beers.
