AROMA: Mildly sweet, with mild scents of milk chocolate and malt. As the beer warms, I start to get notes of ground coffee and cocoa.

APPEARANCE: Pours an opaque black with a 2-finger, tight-frothed, tan head that dissipates down to a pencil thin collar, moderately fast. The collar, on the other hand, lingers for quite a while. Lacing is minimal when I finish the pour and just let the beer sit and the head dissipate on its own. However, there is moderate lacing after taking a sip and letting the beer settle back into the glass. Overall, a nice looking beer.

TASTE: Mildly sweet, with moderate coffee flavor and mild notes of cocoa nibs. The coffee flavor reminds me of the bulk, commercial coffees like Maxwell House and Folders. While it's not bitter, it doesn't have any real depth of flavor like more expensive coffees do. During the finish I get more of a coffee grounds flavor, rather than coffee itself.

MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied with a somewhat loose texture that gives the sense of wateriness but with more heft/body than water. Carbonation is about average.

OVERALL: In general, I love coffee porters. I do not love this one. However, I don't hate it either. For me, it just has some oddities in the flavor and texture, that would keep me from buying in again.

My can of beer from total wine but I hope this is the right place. On the label it says JoJo Bean Coffee porter but its the same ABV, so I guess its the same stuff? Pour is big and dark, has a nice tan head. Nose is a slightly malt olfactory but I don't really sense any coffee in there. First taste is big coffee, really big; like black coffee maximus. Its a big surprise, whew, black coffee fer sher. Big black cold coffee. The label has what looks like to be a bad ass mario, from donkey kong, smoking a pipe, is that possible? It tastes just like the the label looks. I wonder if they just added jojo to the label to attract attention. Yes, the finish is coffee as well. Well balanced? Not sure, its all coffee, right to the finish.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 30/12/20. Light black with a moderate tan covering. Nose is coffee bean, cocoa powder, light charr, dark malts, mellow roast. Taste comprises chocolate cake, greater coffee presence, light spice, mellow roasted malts, brown sugars, hint of tiramisu. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent flavoursome porter.

24/12/2020. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of camp coffee, chocolate, light roasted malt. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight creamy texture, average carbonation. Nice, liked this.

Can: Poured a black with a light brown head. Aroma is coffee, artificial chocolate, roasted malts. Taste is semi sweet, chocolate, cocoa, coffee bean, roasted malts.

From a 12 oz can. Pours a clear cola with a tan head. Coffee aroma. Bitter roast flavors.

Can picked up at ABC store in Tampa. Pours dark brown with a small beige head, some lacing. Coffee, dark malts, chocolate and vanilla. Good

Coffee and a little roast but overall aroma is pretty thin here. Black pour with quickly dying mocha head. Finish is slightly tangy and cloying. Can drank at the beach in Lauderdale.
