The light, refreshing character of our award-winning golden ale is distinguished by its subtle elderflower aroma, reminiscent of a summer’s evening. Champion is particularly rewarding when served chilled. On a balmy evening in Stanpit Marsh, a cool breeze blows and a calm encompasses the vast reserve. Amongst the wild horses, you may see Golden Champion, a headstrong but loyal stallion who enjoys the warm days grazing in th fields. The subtle elderflower aromas of this delicately floral brew are reminiscent of a summer’s evening. This divine all-rounder is a great companion for smoky, chargrilled chicken and peppery rocket salad.

Nice tasty golden ale with something extra.
Deep golden color with a fine white head. Fruity, toffee and mild elderflower in the aroma with an ok intensity. Medium body and an average carbonation. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Floral, mild elderflower, toffee and fruity flavor.

Bottle from the Cromwell Road Sainsburys. Pours dark gold with a slight white head. Aroma is floral, elderflower fits. Med body or better. Flavor is floral and mild caramel, and it’s decently bitter. Very refreshing. Tastes good. Has a bit of that malt flavor I find in Tanner’s Jack.

Bottle at home picked up from Saintsbury’s. Clear golden coloured pour with a lasting white head. Aroma pale golden malts, little floral lemon, little spicy note. Flavour is composed of light grains, light caramel, grain tanin. Little spicy peppercorn, hedgerow. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation. Decent enough.

50 cl clear ottle from a GDO retailer at around 2.70€. Dark golden to light amber/tangerine color, creamy white head. Flowery nose. Aroma is, uh, weird, very floral with elderflower and geranium, lemongrass, peach tea. I gues this is anti-mosquitoes. Taste is flattish, sweetish, slightly bitter in the finis. Body is thin, low carbonation. Finish is a tad dryish, floral, perfume. Out of the ordinary, ok for summer.

Body is oily with medium carbonation. Finish is long and balanced bitter and sweet with notes of lemon, malt, rye bread and hints of iron. Nice pub beer.

Bottle. Pours clear darkish golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of hops, malt and yeast, with fruity and citric notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with notes of malt and fruit, touches of yeast and some bready and citric hints. Estery and slightly citric aftertaste. Well-balanced and easily drinkable but nothing really extraordinary.

50 cl. bottle from Fakta discounter. Clear, copper colour with a dense, white head. Sweet aroma with toasted malts, caramel, fruity hints and floral notes. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes sweet with toasted and caramel malts, floral hints. Okay Golden Ale, somewhat inoffensive.
