Now this is a delicious ale.Nice mellow caramel/toffee aroma, taste is similar with dry hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamy,with a light lingering dry finish. I could drink this one for a while.

500ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Malt, elderflower and a hint of peach in the aroma. Malty and slightly sweet taste with notes of elderflower, sultanas and peach detected.

50cl bottle shared with Joes @ Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Clear golden color, small off-white head that diminishes quickly. Smell and taste malts, buttery, slightly fruity, lightly hops and some bitter. Medium carbonation, medium body.

Bottle from Tesco’s. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin white broken head and bags of broken lace. The aroma is of malt and fruit. The flavour is weak bitter, fruity and with hints of malt. The palate is smooth and there’s a mild lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. It’s a great refreshing summer ale, particularly when served cool. I prefer the Golden Glory, but this is also an excellent beer.

50cl bottle. Golden colour white a minimal off-white head with less duration but nice lacing. Aroma is slightly malty, moderate hoppy and with grass notes. Flavor is grasy, citrusy, light hoppy and malty. Carbonation is medium. Body is light to medium.

Sweet and sour hopped, and similar to Golden Glory but with much less fruit apparent in its character.

Retro review time again this was the first bottle ale I would purchase In quantity great fruit aroma I’ve gave this too many a lager a drinker and they have enjoyed.

Pours clear golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, floral, grass and pepper. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long floral peppery finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Tall 500ml brown bottle, best before May 09, drank Aug 08. Poured into one of my Veltins Pilsner glasses (three times). Amber, a light amber really, with a good head of foam. The body was clear and a few bubbles could be seen rising up to the head which stayed for the whole drink. Sweet aroma, an English Country Garden Smell, but without the Rose’s. Apples and Pears mixed with a floral hint is the best I can come up with. No where near as hoppy as an American Pale Ale, this has a pleasnt understanded hoppiness and a sweetness that is always hanging around (a little too sweet for me). No depth to the body, but it is supposed to be light bodied, so no real complaints. This is the umteenth beer from this brewery I’ve reviewed on this site and most have been bordering on poor. This is better, but isn’t a world beater by any standard.
