The light, refreshing character of our award-winning golden ale is distinguished by its subtle elderflower aroma, reminiscent of a summer’s evening. Champion is particularly rewarding when served chilled. On a balmy evening in Stanpit Marsh, a cool breeze blows and a calm encompasses the vast reserve. Amongst the wild horses, you may see Golden Champion, a headstrong but loyal stallion who enjoys the warm days grazing in th fields. The subtle elderflower aromas of this delicately floral brew are reminiscent of a summer’s evening. This divine all-rounder is a great companion for smoky, chargrilled chicken and peppery rocket salad.

Det är sällan Badger lyckas med sina kryddningar. Den här funkar i a f hyffsat med sin friska fläder karaktär som funkar bra ihop med ljus malt och frisk humle.

A golden ale with a thick creamy lacing light moka head. In aroma, a ligt caramel malt with light mineral notes. In mouth, a smooth sweet malt caramel malt with light butterscotch, light herbal notes, oily mouthfeel. Bottle from LCBO, tasted Sept. 5 2011.

My first Badger experience, from the LCBO in a brown 500ml bottle. Pours a golden-amber colour with an average creamy white head that comes down at a medium pace but creates soapy thick lacing. The nose at first is pretty grainy with some biscuits. After a while, something different (but nice) comes out, which I assume is the elderflowers used in this one. I really like these aromas, almost perfumy. The taste is mild and fruity. Refreshing mouthfeel with a crisp finish. On the back label of this brew, they rate this one fully sweet, but it is a nice sweetness that is not offensive. An overall decent refreshing English blonde ale.

Bottle: Poured a clear bright golden color ale with a large foamy head with some retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of light zesty fruit with a semi-sweet malt base. Taste is also a nice enough mix between some zesty fruit ester with semi-sweet malt backbone and subtle floral undertones. Body is about average as well as carbonation. Not bad though not something I am likely to buy again.
